For the Birds

This hand-painted ornament is one in a set of eight that sells for $200. It was on display at the Winter Wings Festival. The other seven ornaments included an eagle, blue jay and various birds painted on them. The real estate company that had them at their booth was asking for a donation for a chance to win the set. They will draw and a lucky recipient will win the ornaments. The money collected will be donated to the Winter Wings Festival to provide informative and entertaining keynote speakers like the ones they had this year.

Today’s gift was to make a donation for the ornaments. If I should possibly win the set, I will donate it back to the festival so that more money can be raised next year. This is one charitable gift that really is for the birds.
