Tonight, I attended 11-year-old Maddie’s birthday dinner.
One of her gifts was a diary with a picture on the front and back cover of the
musical group One Direction. She swooned, kissed it and threatened both of her
brothers not to lay a finger on it. Then she started singing:
The story of my life
I take her home
I drive all night to keep her warm
And time... is frozen (the story of, the story of)
The story of my life
I give her hope
I spend her love
Until she's broke
Inside
The story of my life
I take her home
I drive all night to keep her warm
And time... is frozen (the story of, the story of)
The story of my life
I give her hope
I spend her love
Until she's broke
Inside
The story of my life
She told me that she knows the words to every song they’ve
ever sung! That is quite impressive for any age, let alone a young girl.
Today’s gift was to give Maddie glittery, purple nail polish.
I know she liked it, but it couldn’t compete with One Direction, which was her
prized possession and that is the story of my
life.
In Giving,
Robin
