Leon
Logothet is counting on the generosity of the human spirit to travel around the
world thanks to the kindness of strangers. He is riding his yellow motorcycle,
which he calls Kindness One and travelling with no money, food or anywhere to
stay.
"I
used to be broker in London, sitting behind a desk, working 12 hour days, and
it wasn't for me," he explained. "Then I went and traveled the world
and connected with people. And that's what it's all about. That's where the
magic is—connection. Heart to heart."
I was
reminded of this story when a friend called to ask me if I had any photos for
the memorial service of our mutual friend who just passed away. Earlier this
week I had looked on my hard drive for a photo to post on my blog, but had not
been able to find any pictures of her that I liked. My first response was to
say that I had already looked. Instead, I said that I would look on all my
external hard drives.
Today’s
gift was to plow through my old hard drives looking for photos of my friend. I
was able to locate a few that showed her connecting with friends—heart to
heart. Matter of fact, I noticed in the photos that lots of people were smiling
and connecting. It reminded me to be more like Leon and find the magic in connecting
with others.
In Giving,
Robin
