Muskrat Stew for Santa

Dear Santa,

All of us volunteers at Badger Run Wildlife Rehabilitation have been especially good this year and the Animal Ambassadors have been on their BEST behavior for presentations. I hope we are on your “nice” list!

Here is what we would like for Christmas:
  • A set of snow tires or chains for the 2012 Tundra

  • Donations to help us finish our 120′ reconditioning flight pen

  • A large carport to house the tractor

  • Dog food (dry especially)
Cat food (both dry and canned)

  • Any sort of seed/chicken food/cracked corn, etc to feed the mice and rats we raise for food.

  • Cash donations of any kind to help us keep doing what we do!!
Thanks Santa!

P.S. We’ll leave some muskrat stew and hay out for you and the reindeer on Christmas Eve!

This Christmas letter touched me because I know the commitment and dedication of Badger Run volunteers are truly a labor of love. They rehabilitate wildlife that have been injured or orphaned and release the ones back into the wild that can survive. The Animal Ambassadors presentation is captivating. An owl, a hawk, and bald eagle stare into the eyes of the audience, while the presenter talks about why they are in rehab and how people can prevent injury to birds and wildlife.

Today’s gift was to give a donation to help Badger Run’s Christmas list become a reality. I’m not sure that I will be the one eating Muskrat stew, but I hope Santa will enjoy it.

In Giving,
Robin
